Live Projects you can help

Little Lifts

‘If someone had described it to me beforehand, I would have thought it a ‘nice idea’ without having given much thought to how important the sentiment is … With one box, I no longer felt that we were alone dealing with a life-changing situation … It is not a Box of cutlery and tea bags, it is a gesture of compassion and understanding sent without judgement and with no expectation, from fellow members of a club that no one wants to be part of’ - Little Lifts Beneficiary

Projects we have already funded

Scarlets Community Foundation

The Foundation seeks to improve health and well-being through inclusion and participation using sport as a catalyst. The activities delivered are designed to encourage participation and are developed to meet the needs of the local community

Well and Horses

The horse-human connection is powerful, and with a horse as our therapist, there is an opportunity to see our internal landscape through the gentle, non-judgmental eyes of a horse. There, we can experience compassion, humility, and challenge, which are necessary for supporting self-awareness, well-being and growth. When a horse and a human form a bond, an extraordinary amount of emotional support and trust develops. They are incredibly therapeutic animals to spend time with, and they can assist us in navigating challenging emotions and experiences.

The Cancer Support Centre

The hospitals look after the clinical needs and treatments of the body, but we look after the mind and the spirit – the emotional and psychological support that is really important to managing and coping, and being the best you can be whatever the situation or prognosis.

WellChild Community helping hands project

We are delighted to announce that WellChild’s next Community Helping Hands Project will be delivered at the Llandough Children’s Assessment Centre (LCAC), which is part of the University Hospital Llandough.

The Send Dynamic

Our aim is that parents of children with SEND will be empowered to understand their children’s rights and how to navigate the SEND education, health, and care system. We don’t want to reinvent the wheel and will always signpost you to other free services where they exist. We aim to make sure that everyone knows where to go for the best information and advice that is impartial and free.

Sight Life Visually Impaired Photographers

Sight Life photography group, composed of blind and partially sighted individuals, has developed into a vibrant and creative community over the years. The members of this group have not only found a powerful means of self-expression through photography but have also produced works of exceptional quality that have been displayed at various exhibitions across Cardiff.
