The Brotherhood Legion CIC is an award-winning men's mental health movement in Leicester, redefining community support. With over 65 events and collaborations with nearly 100 businesses, we've built a hub of movement, conversation, and inclusion. Our initiatives go beyond just weekend session support, embracing hiking, art workshops, therapy sessions, and even offering counselling, Christmas dinner for the lonely, house renovations & homeless outreach.

Project Overview

Overview provided by crowdfunder.co.uk

If it takes men from suicide to thrive and save lives, we're committed to starting a women's sister group, supporting our homeless community, and the general public in Leicester through various community projects. We offer community service to help renovate houses and gardens for those who can't manage it, provide Christmas dinners for the lonely, and offer free counseling for those who can't afford it. We also advocate against knife crime and have installed two bleed kits in Leicester. Our educational and creative workshops, alongside the multiple free social and physical sessions we hold each week, aim to enhance individuals' mental and physical well-being. We strive to be a beacon for social, mental, and physical well-being within Leicester.

The numerous awards we've received, both city-based and national, including the Dialogue Society Award, High Sheriff Award, BBC Make a Difference Award, and being recognized in the 40 Under 40 as one of the top 40 entrepreneurs under 40 in the UK for community development, reflect the fantastic work we have accomplished in this space so far.

We create events and social activities to encourage people to get moving and engage in conversation, in addition to our free weekly sessions every Saturday and Sunday. Our services extend beyond peer support sessions, including co and assistance with employment.

Ward Buddies

We believe no child should feel abandoned, and no parent should have to choose between caring for their child in the hospital and caring for their family at home. Our vision is to build a sustainable model of emotional bedside care that can be shared with hospitals nationwide, and even around the world

R!SE Up

RISE with’ is our community led scheme, which harnesses the support of local organisations to provide life-changing experiences for young people. Coaching provides the foundation of our work, but we want to go further, raising aspirations for our young people. We believe the way to do this is by exposing them to new experiences, which have the potential to be life changing. Whether it’s drumming, boxing, parkour or cooking, these opportunities give young people access to new possibilities, life skills and passions.
