We are a charity who provide specialist physiotherapy provision to transform the lives of children with movement disabilities. Through specialist physiotherapy, children can gain new skills and find some independence. This has a hugely positive impact and changes lives for the better.

Project Overview

Overview provided by crowdfunder.co.uk

The impact and benefit to families attending The Movement Centre is huge. Over the last 12 months we have increased the number of children we see by 50%, and we want to do this again year on year over the next 3 years.

Money received through this Crowdfunder will develop a brand new digital booking system to create a more accessible way of accessing our therapy services. Building this system will also free up tie for our therapy assistants, and ultimately allow them to see more children.

With funds that are left over from the project, we will look to spend this on further infrastructure to grow as a charity. As the number of children we see increases we will need more standing frames to keep up with demand.

With 40 children currently on a waiting list, ready to start a course of therapy.

Ward Buddies

We believe no child should feel abandoned, and no parent should have to choose between caring for their child in the hospital and caring for their family at home. Our vision is to build a sustainable model of emotional bedside care that can be shared with hospitals nationwide, and even around the world

R!SE Up

RISE with’ is our community led scheme, which harnesses the support of local organisations to provide life-changing experiences for young people. Coaching provides the foundation of our work, but we want to go further, raising aspirations for our young people. We believe the way to do this is by exposing them to new experiences, which have the potential to be life changing. Whether it’s drumming, boxing, parkour or cooking, these opportunities give young people access to new possibilities, life skills and passions.

The Brick

At The Brick, we run a Food Community at St George’s Church on Water Street, Wigan - a place where people can access affordable, nutritious food with choice, dignity and respect.
