Dons Local Action Group
DLAG and our supporters are sleeping out to raise money urgently needed to increase capacity to fight poverty in our community this winter.

Project Overview
DLAG provide food parcels, household goods, furniture and appliances to those in need in their communities. They also donate laptops through our Keep Kids Connected campaign for childrenwho need access to online learning. Their aim to help those in our local community to fight poverty and offer support.
How do they do this? They collect food and household goods donated by the public, at their stalls, outside supermarkets and their football stadium, AFC Wimbeldon. They take all the donations to a central food sorting hub, created carefully selected one-week food boxes and then deliver them directly to their beneficiaries, who have been referred by recognised agencies such as GPs or social services.
They also make bulk deliveries of food products to other local local charities and foodbanks in the area.
DLAG also run a similar operation for furniture redistribution. They will collect donated items of furniture and other appliances, and transfer them to warehouse space for sorting and delivering to those without the basics at home including beds, dining tables, chairs and storage.

Safe and Sound
Since 2002, we have been tackling child sexual exploitation by providing high quality tailored one-to-one support to victims and young people at risk in Derby and Derbyshire. From 2019, whilst maintaining our specialism in sexual exploitation, we have expanded our services to include all forms of exploitation. Our vital work ensures that individuals receive the support they need to move forwards in their lives.
