Helping Hands Community Trust Family Outreach
Helping Hands support the development of an early intervention programme for children, young people and families across Oadby & Wigston, Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area.

Project Overview
Building on a successful pilot, the funding will help Helping Hands expand its preventative work in local schools and community settings during the next academic year. The programme is designed to tackle issues such as poor mental wellbeing, poverty, social isolation and financial hardship before they reach crisis point.
Through interactive workshops, one-to-one support and family engagement, the project will equip young people with valuable life skills while encouraging positive conversations around wellbeing, financial resilience and future aspirations. By working closely with schools, parents, carers and community partners, Helping Hands aims to strengthen family resilience and create healthier, more connected communities.
The Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation is proud to support initiatives that focus on prevention and early intervention, helping children, young people and families build brighter futures before challenges become crises.
