Faith in Families - Brighter Futures
A local children's charity working in deprived communities targeting the most vulnerable children who are dealing with trauma and crisis

Project Overview
Faith in Families support over 500 children each week to be brave & understand their emotions, & pain. Children who have experienced often multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences or ACE and are struggling with big emotions such as anger & anxiety, which is often displayed in unwanted behaviours meaning that they find life in general difficult. They have few opportunities to develop social skills, are unable to control emotions & have limited positive relationships. They at time feel hopeless & this is increasing as the cost of living crisis plummets them into greater destitution.
THE PROGRAM IS FREE TO CHILDREN AS WE WANT TO REACH THOSE FACING THE MOST TRAUMATIC CIRCUMSTANCES
98% of children state they feel more confident after going through the program.
96% share that they can now talk about their worries.
92% of children state they have learnt ways to control their anger and emotions.
The team are not only dedicated but motivated to improve the lives of children, young people, & families within our communities. We want to see children thrive, families grow & young people develop into happy adults. We know that we cannot always change the circumstances in which children are living but we can change how they can respond to what is happening in their lives.

Little Lifts
‘If someone had described it to me beforehand, I would have thought it a ‘nice idea’ without having given much thought to how important the sentiment is … With one box, I no longer felt that we were alone dealing with a life-changing situation … It is not a Box of cutlery and tea bags, it is a gesture of compassion and understanding sent without judgement and with no expectation, from fellow members of a club that no one wants to be part of’ - Little Lifts Beneficiary
